Installing Manixa as a Windows NT Service
=========================================

NOTE: UN-OFFICIAL AND UN-SUPPORTED ADD-ON. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

The "service" directory should be installed directly into your Manixa
main folder.

   <my_manixa_folder>--+--bin
                       +--db
                       +--doc
                       +--lib
                       +--lic
                       +--migration
                       +--radixa
                       +--service <-- HERE !
                       +--static
                       +--systems
                       +--var
                       +--ZServer
                       +--LICENCE_AGREEMENT.txt
                       +--start_lan.bat
                       +--start_local.bat
                       +--view local

1) Check that your Manixa server starts correctly with the interactive
   batch file "start_lan.bat".

2) Then stop it (by closing the black window).

3) Open the "service" folder.

3.1) If you run Manixa version 2.1 or an older version, you should
replace the file "flavia.conf" in the "radixa" folder by the
one you find in the "service" folder.
If you run Manixa version 2.2 or higher, you can safely ignore
        this point.

4) Install the Manixa Service by launching the "install_service" command.
   (double-click on the icon).
From now on, the Manixa service is accessible in the "Services"
utility (Settings -> Control Panel -> Services).

5) To start the server, either launch the "start_service" command, or
use the "Start" button in the "Services" utility.

6) By default, the Manixa service is configured to start automatically
   whenever your machine restarts.

7) Indication: You can still view the starting messages (about the
licence and the URL to use) by checking the option "Allow Service to
Interact with Desktop" in the "Startup..." panel of the "Services"
   utility.

Known issues:

Stopping service on Windows 2000 and 2003 says stop has timed out when
in fact the Manixa server has stopped.
